I'm a Clinical Psychologist trained at The University of Western Australia. I have a BSc (Hons) and MPsych (Clinical) and I graduated in 1996. I'm a member of The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

My career began with several years in Perth working in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) followed by almost a decade working in the NHS in London. During my time in London I worked at St George's Hospital and St Mary's Hospital.  I was the Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the Vincent Square Clinic Eating Disorder Service in central London which involved extensive work with people with eating disorders & body image difficulties, both outpatients and inpatients.

I returned to Perth in 2007 and have now been in private practice in Nedlands, since 2009, alongside raising my 3 children.

My practice has evolved to focus on working with people struggling with all types of anxiety and stress, and the emotions, thoughts and behaviours that tend to arise as we try to cope with such difficulties. This includes, obviously all types of anxiety, as well as eating disorders, depression, trauma, low self-esteem/confidence, managing difficult emotions, and relationship/parenting difficulties.

It's a strong passion of mine to help people live their lives less constrained by anxiety, worry and stress.

I predominantly use cognitive-behavioural therapy, schema-focused therapy, and mindfulness & meditation techniques in my therapy practice. My yoga and trauma training brings a somatic therapy component to my work - a holistic approach encompassing body and mind.

I have completed my 350-hr Level 1 ISHTA Australian Yoga Teacher Training at Tamara Yoga. I've completed a 50hr ISHTA Yin Yoga Intensive Teacher Training with Yogiraj Ulrica Norberg (2019) and have undertaken additional training in yoga philosophy with Yogiraj's Peter Ferko and Wendy Newton (2020), and Yoga Nidra training with Yogiraj Mona Anand (2018). These trainings have had a strong emphasis on meditation, breathing techniques and yogic philosophy which, when appropriate, enhances the more traditional psychology work I offer to clients.

I've also completed my 300-hr Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga certification training via the Center for Trauma and Embodiment in Massachusetts, USA.

I provide a non-judgmental, safe environment to explore your story and situation in an individually-tailored way aiming to help you live more consciously, to learn about yourself, become aware of your thought & behaviour patterns and to support you to make changes as you choose to.

I work mostly with individual adults. I offer sessions with parent/s helping them to be deeply in-tune with their children. This enables parenting in a positive way that maximises connection, calmness and communication, which can be particularly helpful when children/adolescents are experiencing their own difficulties.

I also offer sessions to work places addressing effective ways to identify and manage work-related stress.
